Founded in 1979 by Mr. Mohamed Farid Khamis, with leadership from Ms. Yasmine Khamis & Ms. Farida Khamis the Oriental Weavers Group of 17 businesses is one of the finest producers of machine-made carpets and area rugs in the world. With manufacturing on three continents and a work force of over 20,000 skilled associates globally, the Hospitality business is a growing part of this 1billion dollar, vertically integrated organization.

With integrity, our global designers craft each bespoke project in collaboration with the international brands and design houses we serve. Optiweave™ broadloom and area rug solutions, are engineered in woven Axminster & Hand-Tufted medium, with the ability to provide Machine-Tufted and Printed products upon request.

Planning to manufacturing, our associates have joined a unique family tradition, rich with decades of technical & mechanical expertise, supported by an abundance of resource, skill and product knowledge. The Oriental Weavers Group are quietly involved in the philanthropic care of others, humbly providing for the health care needs, education and wellness of local communities.

With a 21st century engagement in renewable and sustainable thinking, also recognized by the European funded GEFF program, the Oriental Weavers Group is an active participant in the future sustainability of its manufacturing practices. Waste water capture and renewal, reductions in carbon dioxide emissions, through mechanical upgrades and tree planting, just the beginning of a future forward Oriental Weavers Group and the goal of a carbon zero footprint by 2050.
